Caggiano Goodre Author. Lorelei Fischer desperately needed somewhere to spend the night, and, as if by magic, Moonlit Shores Manor appeared. More than willing to escape her old life and fill the open position at the bizarre bed and breakfast, Lorelei quickly learns of the dangers waiting for her. At the manor, faeries might pull tricks on you while washing linens, werewolves might try to rough up your bellboy, and a shadowy presence in the woods might be your undoing if you ask too many questions.

After the initial shock Lorelei formally jumps at the opportunity to leave her unsuccessful old life behind and take the position as Manor receptionist of sorts. A very entertaining story, with both witty and whimsical situations, with echoes of 'Alice in Wonderland' with a much more credible story and relatable characters. Lorelei runs away from a situation she just doesn't want to be in, in her car, just wanting to find a place to go, when she finds the manor. A place of many people, strange to her, but some kind and accepting, some not so much.
Many changes happen to her and those around her, ups and downs, happiness, and sadness, but the story isn't over. It is book 1 of the Vacancy Series, so I can't wait to see where the story takes us! And I look forward to reading more of their stories. There are a few things that drive me nuts though. There were spelling issues but not many and it wasn't too big a deal. Some of the main characters are in their early to mids I would be more likely to recommend this to teens than ad I enjoyed this read.
